About Me

Films can change lives. The reason films have had such an impact on the world is because they represent us. Our hopes and dreams, our darkest thoughts or nightmares, all brought to life in a visual representation that allows people to express how they feel about the world around them. Everyone has a story to tell, film acts as a medium to tell that story.

As a child I would often be found getting lost in a good book or exploring the creatures and plants of my backyard. Like the characters I read I was drawn to adventure and mystery even if those adventures were in the confines of my mind. To me, stories are mirrors of how life is. There may not be supervillains, heroes, or fantastical creatures, but in a good story there are lessons that reflect the human condition.

My love of books and the outdoors led me to a love of film.
It was not something I realized right away, and like any good journey I took a winding path to get to where I am now.

As I graduate from the University of North Texas with my Bachelor's in Applied Arts and Sciences I hope to use my degree concentrations: Cinematography, Media Innovations, and Communication Studies to create visual stories that will inspire a generation of filmmakers the way movies did me.

Using the skills of honesty, hard work, collaboration, and creativity I have gained experience and wisdom to help me as I enter the workforce. I hope to tell stories big and small that will touch people on a personal level. Built on a foundation of faith, I have lead my life towards the goal of being an innovative and creative filmmaker who creates stories that will inspire for years to come.

From AVID to Adobe, from Sony FS7's to Canon M50's, I strive to use all I have learned as a student (and on my own) to create moving films.
